Jenna Ortega Rewrote ‘Wednesday’ Lines That Didn’t ‘Make Sense’

Actress Jenna Ortega recently revealed that she rewrote some of the lines in her upcoming movie 'Wednesday' because they didn't make sense to her character.

Ortega plays the role of Wednesday Addams, the iconic character from the Addams Family franchise.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Ortega explained that she wanted to ensure that her portrayal of Wednesday was authentic and true to the character's nature.

"I wanted to make sure that every word that came out of my mouth felt like it was coming from Wednesday and not just from me," Ortega said.

She added that she worked closely with the film's director, Tim Burton, to make sure that the changes she made were in line with his vision for the movie.

Ortega also revealed that she did a lot of research on the Addams Family before filming began, including watching the original TV series and movies.

The actress said that she wanted to pay homage to the original portrayal of Wednesday while also bringing her own interpretation to the role.

'Wednesday' is set to premiere on Netflix in 2022 and also stars Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzmán, and Tim Burton's frequent collaborator, Johnny Depp.

Fans of the Addams Family franchise are eagerly awaiting the release of the movie, which promises to be a fresh take on the beloved characters.
