Teen injured after shots fired in Anderson Twp; Joe Mixon's home part of crime scene

According to the police, on Monday, March 7, a teenager was injured when shots were fired outside a house.

An investigation is ongoing in Anderson Township following this incident.

The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office said there was a report of shots fired in the 7900 block of Ayers Road at approximately 8:25 p.m.

After the teen was shot, he was taken to Children's Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Authorities have not yet shared the teen's age or any suspect information.

The Forest Hills School District confirmed that the injured teen was a student at Anderson High School.

The sheriff's office said deputies executed a search warrant for a home in the 7900 block of Ayers Road as part of an investigation related to this incident.

The sheriff's office made a statement that "we can confirm that part of the crime scene included a home belonging to Bengals player Joe Mixon."
